19th September postscript
Will the 18th September 2014 prove to have been a wondrous day
or nothing less than a national tragedy?
Nationalist divisiveness has sought to cast this day as one or the other
as they have painted a picture with clear lines to separate us
Now the decision made, the tragedy is what one man’s unfettered vanity
has been allowed to do to us
And the wonder is how we have survived
to think again once more of who we can become
not to feed one man’s ambition
but rather to make the most of who we are.
